Although Marymount Manhattan is a very small college with an untraditional campus, the school definitely makes the most with what it has! At the 71st Street campus, there is a coffee lounge, formally known as the Nugent Lounge. It’s the perfect place to do some quick reading before class, engage in campus gossip, or grab a coffee. The fourth floor is the only campus cafeteria. It's super small, but it has options for everyone. Students can choose anything from salads to pasta to sandwiches to pizza. The Convenience Store is filled with late-night snacks to keep you working until the wee hours of the morning. However, you will not find bottled water anywhere, as a part of the "Go Green" action across campus. There are "hydration stations" everywhere to fill water bottles provided to students during the first week of school. It's an inconvenient way to reduce the College's carbon footprint.
Marymount is always giving out student deals. Free Yankee tickets, Broadway shows, Knicks games, the New York City Ballet, Rockefeller Center discounted ice skating—the list goes on and on. Not to mention, there are $7 AMC movie passes (a great deal compared to $13 tickets at the theater). Along with all of these freebies and discounts, the school also offers free printing and copying at the library. After a long day of classes, one will always find many Marymount students on the third floor Commons, Portofino on 57th and Second Avenue, the Plaza Diner or Hot Jumbo (right across the street), or relaxing at the 55th Street dorm. At the 55th Street dorm, there is a workout room located on the second floor along with the laundry room and Convenience Store. Unfortunately, laundry is not free; you need a laundry card. Overall, though, everything at MMC is state-of-the-art and up-to-date. You definitely get what you pay for!
