The University is free from crime. It’s rare to hear about any incidents occurring at all. Public Safety really does a wonderful job of making the students feel safe and protected. The officers aren't overbearing but want everyone to enjoy their college experience without worry. In case something out of the ordinary would occur, the school would make sure everyone is aware of the incident immediately.

Free programs on personal safety and safety techniques are provided for students who are interested. Whenever students have free time at school, these classes are available to help them understand how to protect themselves. The University has a full-time nurse whose office is located inside the University Library building, and the services of the Health and Wellness office are available to all students. St. Luke’s hospital is also across the street from the University.
