My school is a Community College so it offers basic classes. I am dual enrolled so I attend a couple classes at night through the week. The campus is set in a beautiful location. The campus is also tobacco free. It is clean and well kept.

The computer is generally always up to par. The computer labs are wonderful and provide many students with excellent service. The printer is great and quick so that you can print off assignments fast.

I have not yet graduated, so I am unaware as to how well the career center works. However, the job prospects for the career that I have chosen are wonderful. The health care field is growing rigorously each day.

I love the fact that the school is small, therefore allowing professors to give me their full attention when I need it. I am able to contact my professors with no trouble whatsoever and get quick responses to my questions. Mayland is also highly known for their RN program, which is extremely important to me since that is my major. The only complaint I hold is the registering process. It is all done online and with internet problems, sometimes you cannot get the classes that you want or need.

I am a nursing major, and I absolutely love it. Mayland Community College nursing students are notoriously known for their academic success within hospitals and other health related work settings. It has been better than I could have imagined so far. My classes have fulfilled the "nursing knowledge" gaps. I love this field and it is my true passion. The workload for a nursing major is very intensive and difficult, but not overwhelming or impossible.

I would highly recommend taking online classes if you have a job, are in high school, or during the spring semester when there is a high possibility of snow. With online classes there is more time to turn in assignments, but on the down side, they are often more difficult because you don't have the instructor reminding you two or three times a week about assignments; if you don't remember the assignments you'll get a zero. If you have trouble remembering assignments and test, then I would recommend that you take traditional classes.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
There is a great amount of financial aid. It really helps lighten my stress load and helps me focus on what matters the most: my education.

Getting It Done – The online classes here is very cut and dry- get your work done and turn it in before the due date. Anything past the due date u fail... but there is a few good teachers here that will provide u more time if u need if if u just explain why it wasnt in on time.

Pleased With My Decision – I am very pleased with my decision to go to Mayland Community College. I was considering going to a four year school, but by making this decision I have saved thousands of dollars and have quickly gotten into the program of my choice. The college has wonderful libraries and computer labs, along with teachers that are willing to assist you at any time. Mayland also rewards their students through catering several special events like Spring Fling.

Great School at Which to Start! I love the personal attention students receive from faculty and staff. Students are always welcomed to ask questions when they need help and are truly valued as human beings. Students are also given many opportunities to get involved in the school's activities. Classes are challenging and interesting. I would definitely choose to go back to MCC.

Not Impressed – Overall I was not very impressed with many of the students at this school. They acted like high schoolers...did not study...procrastinated...and complained about not being able to smoke on school grounds. They need to grow up!!!!

A Good Start – This is a good schoo to get a start on a college education. I haven't attended any school functions except for blood drives. My wife attended their nursing program and it is known to turn out excellent nurses.

No Social Scene – This school reminds me of high school. In the library most of the kids on the computers are on Facebook or playing games.
