Very Laid Back

McNeese is a very laid back university. there isn't much you can get in trouble for and if you do the campus police usually lets you off with a warning.

Very Sunny

The weather is usually warm with lots of sunshine. If it ever does rain it is at reasonable times, usually very early in the morning or at night. The campus has many trees so there is always a nice breeze and shade from the sun.

Parking on Campus

The McNeese police are very strict about where you park. There are four types of parking: faculty and staff, junior, senior, and graduate, freshmen and sophomore, and then visitor. There are different colored parking tags and if you park in the wrong place, you will receive a ticket and disputing them is near impossible. I even got a ticket this past semester because not all of my old parking tag came of my window when I replaced it with my new one. They will boot your car after three tickets and once you pay the fines they will remove the boot when they are ready. So you may pay the fine and still have to wait a week to get the boot off.
