Parking at a meter is difficult because you need to refill it every few hours. Also, it can be expensive.

MUSC is great! The facility is so nice and the classrooms are excellent. This is one grad school that makes sure you still have a social life by offering many events. This program is competitive and challenging, but all worth it.

The weather is *usually* great, but when hurricane season comes around and it rains very hard, certain parts of the city flood. It's really important to know where the flood spots are, because some are around campus, or you'll find yourself stuck in the middle of the road with nowhere to go but knee deep in water!

It can get very crazy, at least for our program (pharmacy). It's not too difficult to apply and be approved, but getting it can be a hassle from the actual office.

Charleston is a fantastic city to live in. It was recently rated in the top ten best cities in the country. Because of this, many people find it attractive, and therefore housing, specifically downtown near campus, can be very expensive. It's difficult to find a place that is average for a decent price. Usually the places are in awful condition for relatively cheap, or recently renovated and in perfect condition for incredibly expensive prices. There's very little in between, and you have to be on your game to find the good spots.

We have a full sim lab for just about every profession. They have dummies for the PA and MD students, as well as a sim lab for counseling for pharmacy students. They also have a full sterile hood to compound IV preparations just as you would in a hospital setting.

They're in pretty good condition for pharmacy at least.

There are no drugs on campus. This is a medical university/hospital and there is a lack of on-campus partying and hanging out.

The only option is to eat in the hospital cafeteria which is expensive. Within the cafeteria is mexican, subway, a grill, pizza, and a salad bar.

The weather does not affect the campus experience very often, but when it does, it is because of a flood. The worst part about the rain is that we have to take shuttles to the parking lot and wait outside in the rain.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
