Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Mercer provides a great overall experience for its students. It offers a good social environment, as well as an exceptional academic environment. However, it is also difficult. Even if you easily received A’s in high school, you will have to put substantial time and effort into your work here if you want to continue to get grades like that.

The professors at Mercer are passionate and often create classroom environments that are open-minded and thought-provoking. This sense of engagement and candidness can make your courses seem more exciting and worthwhile. Overall, the majority of Mercer students say they would not trade their experience at Mercer for anything.

Difficult Time Getting Into Orientation for the Dates I Wanted.

Registration and getting your scholarships applied correctly plus any refunds can take a lot of time and can be a hassle but the school is worth some trouble in this area.

Macon Is Easy to Get to and You Can Find Nightlife.

My first couple of years at college were spent in the dorms but we found things to do. There are private parties to attend.

Working on a 5 Year Masters in Engineering

Mercer's small classes and excellent professors provide students an opportunity to succeed. Professors actually will have a friend call you during class if you are not in attendance. They care about your education. I learned a great deal in the past for years. I now have a well paying internship and will have a high paying job when I graduate. The five year masters degree allows you to take a year off expensive graduate school classes. The courses are taught at undergraduate rates. This is a benefit Mercer has that most other Engineering colleges do not have. Employers in the South are impressed with a Mercer Engineering degree. They have expressed that it is as good as Georgia Tech.
