the weather can make it very miserable to be on campus.one minute it can be sunny and the next it snowing.

the Greek life is very small here at Merrimack, and they are stuck up

Most professors are better when you talk to them one on one as opposed to teaching the whole class a subject.

they could have more hours of operation. There are sometimes in the cafe when all you can eat is sandwiches, soup, and salad.

the campus is almost 80% white there is not that much diversity.

Merrimack is not very strict. There is always a way around a rule

They just started doing campus shelters this years so its to early to say how good it is yet.

Health & Safety:
Its not the greatest the cops don't really do all that much to protect people they are more concerned with busting peoples chops. Although we are in a very low crime area so its understandable why the cops are so laid back.

The school is very small so its almost like high school all over again. But the people are the reason why i would do it all over again

I am a commuter so I can personally attest that the parking is pretty normal during the day. It might fluctuate a bit but it remains relatively stable.

Athletics are a big thing at Merrimack College, especially Hockey.

I love my major ( Electrical Engineering). I get to work with circuits and the like, finding out what makes them tick is something I enjoy. What I enjoy most is working with solar panels and alternative energies.

Very invigorating experience. It lets you step it of your comfort zone to trying new things.

Dorms have central air and you have a kitchen so that you can cook.

The athletes seem to receive the most financial aid. I am a hardworking student with good grades and I am not receiving enough financial aid to live there so I am forced to commute. I would really like to live there.
College Freshman 2013-10-22T03:43:37Z
I got a good amount of financial aid about 30,000 dollars, but you need to stay on top of things..and really understand your loans and pay back plans...room and board can add up to, I am a commuter so that bit shaved about 8000 from my bill without board and a meal plan I ended up paying about 1790 for a semester.

There are plenty of apartments in fact there is one across the street, but its pricey for a new college student. North andover and andover can be a bit costly but methuen and lawrence are close by and more affordable

There are computers available to students in the library, there is a fair amount and from what I've seen they don't fill up that quickly, alot of students have their own laptops or tablets but I don't feel its 100 necessary. Before classes start merrimack also gives you the choice of buying a laptop or macbook.

English thrives at merrimack, there is Writer's house and a writing Center on campus and the English professors are really nice and are willing to help students perfect their writing skills. The writers house invites famous poets and authors and lets them talk and interact with students and the writers center tutors students and helps them with papers. There are many jobs offered for English majors as well.

Work load is moderate alot of of reading. The professors are wonderful always willing to help out. The courses are interesting amd challenging. There is always something fun to do on campus, the campus is beautiful safe and friendly!
College Sophomore 2013-10-14T02:21:54Z
Although their threshold is low for getting into the college, many of Merrimack's classes are fairly challenging. But, like any university, you will find classes that are extremely easy. Bottom line is you get what you put in. If you sign up for challenging courses, you will learn more and walk away with a greater bang for your buck. Generally I have had pretty good luck with professors. They really do go out of your way to help you.
