This is my 3rd degree and my 3rd college attending online courses. My first 2 semesters at Methodist were fine but since then, it's not a good experience. If you are planning on taking online courses, be prepared for the confusion. Professors do not have the online classes set up from the last term. Due dates are wrong. The bookstore doesn't have books and then you have assignments due within the first 5 days. Some of the courses, you'll be lucky if you get a reply back within a few days. One of the courses had the workload of a second job, making it almost impossible to do the work for the other class. I'm not sure what happened since the first 2 semesters, but if I wasn't graduating this year, I would go somewhere else for the remainder of my degree. Also, be careful because they will show your student account as clear, and then pop up with a balance that you owe within a week. I still don't understand that.
When I applied to transfer there I talked to the enrollment counselor and he was very open and welcoming and asked why I’d chosen Methodist and why I wanted to study Kinesiology and most people don’t ask about why you’re applying to there college or even be interested in studying current majors. So that was just an overall experience for me cause it showed that they really cared about my future and was very helpful in my transferring process also!
They care a lot about sports and the medical field. Anything else and you're kind of a second thought. But I like being on campus. I've made some great friends, *most* of the professors are really awesome and you develop a personal relationship with them, and the clubs here are great. The dining hall is terrible though.
