Thought Metro offers a variety of sports it lacks of student involvement and fan support. In addition sports like football aren't offer.

Metro offers a variety of dining places at the Tivoli. In addition Metro is located in the heart of downtown Denver which gives the option to select from a variety of restaurants.

Like any other campus Metro has its policies, but does policies do no affect overall the daily life of a student.

There are several sports teams and programs at metro. The practices seam good and the people I know who are in a sport seem to like them a lot!

There are a lot of protests that happen on campus, they are more welcomed than controlled. I have not seen any issues concerning alcohol or drug use. Metro isn't the biggest "party" school out there.

Parking anywhere downtown is TERRIBLE! The parking lots that are close to campus are usually always full and outrageously expensive. The ones that are a bit further away are emptier but still expensive, and don't even think about trying to park outside of campus. It's even worse. This is why I take the bus!
College Junior 2013-12-11T23:26:45Z
The campus is not huge, so it's not too terrible when you have to walk across campus in freezing weather. It is about a 20 minute (15 if you walk fast) walk to campus from the bus stop which can be brutal in freezing weather!

Guys & Girls:
One word that would describe the students at metro would be diverse. The are students who are fresh out of high school, students who have transferred a few times (like myself), international students, and older adults who are coming back to school. There are jocks and athletic students, artsy or "geeky" students, there are kids who just want to party, and people who are extremely serious about their education. Metro is one big melting pot! There is no rating or typical Metro student.

The computers at Metro are very nice as is are the computer labs. Printing is very inexpensive. I have never gone to a computer lab without getting a computer.

The Auraria campus has been working to improve some of our rundown facilities over the past few years. We now have a new student success building. The library needs some work. Our athletic facility is very nice. Everything is being slowly improved upon!

Like I mentioned before, there individualized degree program is such an awesome thing for students who want to do something different, or something that the school doesn't offer a major in . Also, the fact that three different schools share one campus brings in a lot more diversity, events, and campus activities!

I have not lived in any of the housing that metro offers, but from what I have heard from other students, it is fairly affordable and has great transportation to campus.

Metro is a part of the Auraria campus in Downtown Denver. The campus is home to MSU, along with the Community college of Denver and University of Colorado Denver. There is a plethora of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the 16th street mall and elsewhere downtown, all of which are a short distance from campus. Once you get into downtown transportation is not too tricky. There are buses, the mall ride, and the light rail. Most people living in Denver have a fairly good attitude towards college students, some of them are even college students themselves!

Health & Safety:
I have not seen many police officers or security guards on campus, but I have never come across any reason to feel unsafe.

I am a part of the individualized degree program at MSU Denver. I just recently discovered it this past semester and I am so glad that I did! I am in my fourth year of college and I still have not been able to find a suitable major for myself. The Individualized degree program enables a student to come up with their own degree! I am working with a few advisors in coming up with my degree's name and the classes which will be required. I have found the most wonderful advisor, she is very helpful, knowledgable, and personable. It's an awesome opportunity to be creative and do what I really want to do at Metro.

So far, the teachers I have had at Metro have been great. They are very knowledgable on the subject matter and keep the class interesting. The workload has never gotten to overwhelming, and if it does there is always someone willing to offer assistance. Of course there are a few teachers who got stuck teaching a class they aren't passionate about, but they all try. There are a few alternative courses offered such as online classes, hybrid classes, and winterim classes. These classes are for people who are working full time or have other obligations. It enables students to spend less time in the classroom, but they can still learn all the sam curriculum.

Metro is a very accepting school of people from all different ethnic backgrounds, with different sexual orientations, religions, and all other different walks of life. There are support groups being advertised all over campus, along with different events which provide students to step out of their comfort zones and learn about other students.

The athletics at Metropolitan State University of Denver have grown through out the years. Team performance has strengthened and so has fan support. The school does offer great athletics programs and the facilities are clean and adequate.

Metropolitan State University of Denver is a great school and I have had a good experience. I would choose this school again because of the convenient location, availability of online courses, campus social life, and all of the job and internship opportunities my school offers.

The local weather can definitely affect my campus experience. The snow, ice, and rain make it less desirable to be outside and to walk to and from classes.

The financial aid process takes a while. The most important thing is to have your taxes or your parents taxes filed on time and make sure you read the requirements and forms carefully. My school offers help with financial aid.

There are many options for off-campus housing. Most options are pricey.
College Sophomore 2013-12-11T21:30:31Z
The dining options on campus have increased over the years which make eating on campus more desirable. The main dining hall has multiple options. There are also several cafes, food trucks, and restaurants located through out the campus. The cost is affordable and with such a large variety offered, it is easy to find something for everyone.
College Sophomore 2013-12-11T21:27:48Z
The drug scene at Metropolitan State University of Denver is very minimal. Policies are strictly enforced and peer pressure is not present.
College Sophomore 2013-12-11T21:26:13Z
The transportation offered at Metropolitan State University of Denver is great. RTD passes for the buses and light rail are included in our tuition. Everything on campus is within walking distance. There are numerous parking lots located around campus and vary in price.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
