Miami Dade College Summary

When registration for classes beging I get overwhelm. There are classes available to choose, but sometime the time is inconvenient. The lines are longer and when is my time some classes have being taken from the time i had in mind.

The professors at miami dade are very involve with the student goals and life issues. If the professor sees that the student is not progresing or not doing their assigments they will provide after time for the student. Some teacher stay after class for responding to any questions and they have hour time available for those that have jobs to go to. If the student is not satisfied they are given the oportunity for tutoring on a one on one .

The school is very competitive, near the cafeteria there is a pool for swiming classes and a gym for both teachers and students to use, which is very helpfull and aforable. But the biggest place where students go and meet for group assigment or study is the library. In the library we have people that are there simply to help look for a book or teach how to look for a book in library website.

For what i have seen the scool is very open minded about letting students speak their minds. The facility is also very secure, in every parking lot there is a poll that connects directly to the campus security, for any suspicious person on the school ground or parking space issues. I,m impress of how quick they react to the emergency call.

I have a few times been to the career services and everytime I go they treat me with respect and always open to help. But the room is full of students with similar problems that not all, get to be properly infor of the jobs and programs available out there.
