The classes are small, the teachers are helpful and the students are all friendly. However, academic advising can be an absolute nightmare and I would suggest talking to a professor of that field or Oxford advisor for any specific major questions.

I don't live on campus.

I only used government loans and it covered my tuition. The finacial aid office is always willing to help if you are stuck or have questions.

My major doesn't have a specific program and most majors you have to go to the main campus to be accepted into the program or at least go there part of the time since they have all of the upper level courses. More programs have become available though, and the future for the regional campus on its own is looking good.

I will not be seeking an internship through this campus, I will be going to the Oxford campus before that point.

Again, it's a commuter college. There are area attractions that people go to on their own time, sometimes the main campus in Oxford or UC.

Since it is a commuter college there really isn't much to be strict on. I like that they don't allow smoking on campus, only in personal vehicles. Also they have an attendance policy that a lot of professors aren't too strict on, but they can drop you after 3 misses if you don't have excuses for them.

Professors that I have had really know how to communicate information to the students. Registration for transfer students can be difficult until all the transferred data is saved in the system.

Once again I am a distance education student. So my success is dependent on a great network between my host school and home school. So far I can only remember one class where there was about 20 minutes the network was down, and after that no issues to this day.

I am a distance education student. People come to class, do their lab work and go home. Not a whole lot of social life outside the classroom because people often work full time and attend class. Don't have time for the distractions the drug scene would bring.

I live at home but ive heard that the housing arrangements can be a real hassle and can mess with your schooling.

The police of smoking on campus can be pretty striclt and cruel to the smokers but the non smokers appreciate that there is no smoking on campus
College Senior 2012-11-08T04:03:33Z
The school is very diverse it has a lot of out of state students

Throughout the campus, there are many vending machines for either snacks or beverages. In one of the main buildings here is a cafeteria with fast food, fountain drinks and snacks. There is also a coffee shop where one can purchase hot or cold drinks and baked goods. However, that is just about all that one can get to eat on campus. I prefer to bring my own food.
College Senior 2012-10-21T23:47:35Z
There are many facilities at Miami University in Hamilton available to students. There is at least one computer lab in each building. The library is staffed with knowledgable employees who are easy to talk to and very helpful. The on-camus student recreation center is equipped with out-dated machines. It could definitely be renewed. The campus overall is clean and welcoming.
College Senior 2012-10-21T23:41:29Z
There isn't any campus housing at Miami University-Hamilton.
College Junior 2012-09-17T19:47:59Z
The price is right, but that is about it. The classes are easy here and it's worth it if you need to save money or are majoring in one of the majors that can be finished at Miami Hamilton. That being said, about half of the professors are horrible and there is no social life. On top of that, all of the Miami Oxford students look down at the regional students, especially when you try to relocate to the Oxford campus. Some of the professors even think less of regional students too.
College Junior 2012-09-17T19:45:33Z
There is really no off campus dining. There's a McDonalds near campus, but you're better off just going back to your house to eat as Hamilton is a pretty run down town
College Junior 2012-09-17T19:43:51Z
I know there are teams, but I have never heard a single thing about them. I don't think anyone but their parents go to the games. There is a gymnasium on campus that students can use, but it is old, smelly and small. I'm pretty sure everyone would rather just work out at home, or buy a gym pass.
College Junior 2012-09-17T19:42:02Z
The campus tries to have a lot of computers on campus, and most are in the library, which is newly updated this year. However, they are slow and the network is terrible. Printing is expensive as always, but there are some printing labs that offer 50 free prints, which is unique to our campus. The other miami campuses don't offer that.
College Junior 2012-09-17T19:40:03Z
There is some small diversity, but pretty much everyone is white, republican and from the same economic background (working class, mostly). I haven't seen a single LBGT student or any who even look slightly different from "average."
Sorry, there are no reviews.
