Drugs are prominent in Middletown and nearby Franklin, OH and heroin has reached it's third epidemic in this area alone, and it is still growing. Access and visibility is obvious around town and somewhat near the school, but unsure whether the users are students or not except a few known select few.

Very diverse and welcoming to anyone from any culture. Study abroad programs are very well integrated.

This is a regional campus. Hardly no off-campus housing has been agreed upon.

Plenty of healthy choices as well as many fast food restaurants on two of what we locals call "fast food alley"

No bars, clubs or attractions as this is a regional campus. What bars are around are for locals and can cause issues if people don't know how to handle locals.

Middletown is an average size town, with a lot to do within a fairly short drive, but that's the issue, driving when some don't have transportation.

Health & Safety:
Theft and vehicle break-in's are high in Middletown because of Franklin and Middletown's heroin epidemic issues.

Because our students do not receive scholarships, even to the bigger campus, we don't have the best of athletes, but makedo with what we have.

Overall transportation at school is good. It offers a shuttle between the Hamilton and Oxford locations for people who can't afford to drive themselves there, and it is conveniently enough located that it isn't a hassle trying to drive to school. Also the local bus systems do appear to run by campus which offers further assistance to people who otherwise would not be able to drive to campus. One thing I wish the campus would consider however is the cost for people to drive themselves to and from campus who don't use the public transportation options; to be more clear, I think the regional campuses should start factoring in the costs of gas and car repairs into the financial aid award amounts, further helping students who may not otherwise be able to cover such costs for transportation.

Personally, I do not like to go to any of the clubs or bars around campus in Middletown, mostly due to the fact that there are no clubs that I know of around campus and the bars are not safe. I would much rather drive twenty or thirty minutes to Dayton, Oxford, or Cincinnati to go to a bar or club that had much more going on but that also felt safer and had good public reviews.

Middletown has multiple cons going against it in terms of off-campus housing. For one thing, the location is not very secure at all and makes it difficult to find an affordable place for someone trying to room alone or even with another roommate. This brings up another point: the Middletown campus does not offer enough financial aid or scholarships to help cover off campus living expenses. It only just covers tuition in most cases, leaving enough to finance one or two school books on top of that. Overall off-campus living at the Miami University-Middletown location is not very feasible for financial and safety reasons.

Average. They're vey helpful but getting your money can take a little time.

The location is away from busy streets and businesses in its own quiet area. There are lots of places to eat on the main drag right off campus.

The school is located in a factory filled town and there is pollution in the air.

I have met some people in athletics and there seems to be a lot of involvement.

I have not ate anything at campus, but there seems to be a good variety of foods.

Financial aid is okay, but I seem to still have trouble paying for school.

Since I have been attending this school, I have not ran into any of these issues.

The campus is beautiful. Trees surround the area, the landscaping is great, and everyone is so friendly. There are so many restaurants in the area, varying from Wendy's to Olive Garden. There is a mall, but there is not really anything else to occupy students.

The cafe staff members are very friendly, and they know my usual. The prices are a little high, but the food is great, along with a great selection. We just got and ice-cream case, so that just tops everything off!

The apartments are located in Middletown, which is not a very nice part of town. The living conditions vary from being extrememly nice, to very trashy. Out of the nice apartments, I would be able to find one very easy and it would be cheap.

Health & Safety:
This campus feels very safe. I like that there are security cars patrolling outside when my late night classes get out.
College Freshman 2013-03-25T18:10:08Z
You can make your own schedule to fit your needs, there are day and night classes available. The professors are very friendly and helpful. Class sizes are generally small.
College Freshman 2013-03-25T18:08:41Z
There are a lot of student activities going on every week. The campus itself is pretty basic, nothing fancy but it serves its purpose.
College Freshman 2013-03-25T18:04:20Z
This campus does not seem strict at all. I have not heard of any restriction of social lives, and academically their rules are pretty standard. Not overly strict.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
