Miami has a reputation for being a school with beautiful people, and this is completely on target. Although the guys are good-looking, the girls at this school are even better looking. Most girls are up to date on fashion trends and never leave their room with sweatpants on. They make an effort every day, which is combined with the natural good looks the majority of them possess. But, while this sounds like a good thing, a lot of pressure to look their best is on these girls, which leads to a lot of competitiveness between groups of friends. Many girls have been known to develop eating disorders while attending school here, and the guys tend to work out a decent amount to stay in shape. As far as personalities go, there are so many people at this school that you will be able to find whatever it is you’re looking for in a group of friends.

Jackpot. Beautiful people inside and out. I live on north campus and I'm surrounded by athletes. Always great options when it comes to the guys! And everything about this school is beautiful! From people to the campus in general.

Most students make friends quickly with the other people who live in their first-year residence hall. It is not uncommon for these students to live together for the rest of their time at Miami. Freshman residences promote social activity, while outside of the residence halls, student organizations provide an excellent opportunity to meet new people.
There is a happy mix of both at Miami. There are girls and guys who have no qualms about hooking up for a night. On the other hand, there are also students who are in committed relationships, and some are even engaged or married.
This is college. Any location is a great place to meet a potential love interest or random hottie. Dorms can be great places to meet others, as are the quads. Even sitting in class, students begin relationships by working together, borrowing pencils, and complaining about professors and the workload. Never underestimate the power of friends—you never know when they will introduce you to a potential love interest at a party or a bar.
Miami is often referred to as "J.Crew U," and this nickname aptly describes the unofficial dress code of the school. Even when girls go to class in T-shirts and yoga pants, they still pull it off with style. Overall, Miami students take their wardrobes very seriously. Almost all girls own a pair of "Miami sex pants"—tight, black pants that are worn for a night on the town. Guys show up to class in anything from khakis with a nice polo or button-down shirt to jeans and a T-shirt. There is the occasional student who doesn't dress in the Miami norm, but for the most part, students look like they just stepped off the cover of a Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle catalog.

College Prowler guides are in the hands of students throughout the entire process. Because you can't make student-written guides without the students, we have students at each campus who write, edit, and survey their peers for every guide that we publish.
