Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The town in which Miami University is located can be described as a quintessential college town. Oxford is small and the majority of people who live here either attend or work for the University. The town is always full of college students, which is not a surprise since Oxford was founded as a home for the University.

But even though it is a very small town, students will be able to find everything they need for the typical college experience. Oxford is not only beautiful, but it is very welcoming, and the locals are helpful and seem to enjoy having the college students here. There is not a problem between the locals and Miami students, probably because just do not run into each other that much.

The Place to Be

Miami is hot . The off campus bars are fun even if you are not 21. Most students go Greek and there are events, fundraisers and parties year round. We study hard and play hard. The town is a college town and the locals are friendly. Uptown offers shopping, restaurants and taverns. Cincinnati is a half hour away and there is a major outlet mall on the way. I love Miami .

Nice Surroundings

Middletown is a nice smaller town, with a lot of the necessary things conveniently located, stores, malls and groceries etc. I have everything I need around the school or close by. It doesn't take long to get to class from where I live right outside the campus either.
