Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Parking at Miami University is not complicated. It is not, by any means, convenient, but it is not complicated. It costs $50 to keep your car at the stadium lot, which is far from most resident halls, and $300 a semester if you want to park in the parking structure located on south campus. Parking is allowed anywhere after 4 p.m. on weekdays and is permitted on weekends.

Although finding a parking spot is sometimes hard, it will usually be no more than a three-minute walk from wherever your final destination is. Police do patrol parking areas well though, so if you break the rules, you will undoubtedly get an extremely high parking ticket. The good thing is it goes immediately to your student account so you don't need to deal with sending it in.

A Bad Experience

Often there are no available spaces for those who are trying to find them and the parking lots tend to be placed inconveniently. Parking passes are expensive and if you do not have one, then best to avoid campus entirely if at some point you need to park.

Good Off-Campus, Terrible on-Campus

Off campus is good, but on campus there's a 90% chance you'll get a ticket regardless of where or when you park. You think you're okay because it's after 4 or a weekend or whatever, but it seems like there's always some vague stipulation you didn't know about that the Parking Cop will get you for.
