Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Most Miami students walk to class. The campus and town are so close that one defiantly does not need a car at this University. In the winter when it gets cold, there is a very well-structured bus system that transports students around Oxford and Miami's immediate campus. There are also local cab companies that take students around town. These companies also provide transportation to the airports during breaks. Although it is not necessary, most students in their third year bring their car to school.

Campus Buses

The Campus buses at Miami are extremely convenient. There are many stops around campus and they run late into the night. It is easy to find the schedules and it costs students nothing to ride these buses. Taxis are also available around campus for pretty cheap.

Miami Metro

The buses are a really great resource at Miami. There are 6 routes that run constantly until about 7. After 8 there is a service called Nighttime Door-to-Door that you can call to pick you up wherever and take you where you want to go. All the drivers are really friendly.

Meh.

The buses take you pretty much everywhere on campus, but waiting for them can be a pain. The schedule changes after 7 o'clock on weeknights and follows that schedule on weekends, and it's hard to predict when the next one will come, but the drivers are very nice and they can be convenient.
