Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Most students are very satisfied with their decision to attend Michigan State University. New students sometimes complain that the size of MSU can be overwhelming and that it’s pretty easy to get lost while walking to classes; however, it only takes a few weeks before the campus starts to look familiar and feels more like home. Many students say they have made great friends and have been able to handle the challenging workload.

A university as large as MSU provides students with countless opportunities to excel academically, develop unforgettable social ties, and prepare themselves for a meaningful career and future. Unique research opportunities allow students to work closely with professors while gaining experience in their field of study. Many students take advantage of the wide range of study abroad experiences that are available every semester. With over 500 student groups and more than 200 programs of study, there is something for everyone at MSU. Program- and hobby-related groups are a fun way to meet new people. Make an effort to talk to people and keep up with schoolwork. Settling into a new lifestyle during first semester can be difficult for freshmen, but many are bleeding green by the time they return from winter break.

Why I'm Transfering.

MSU is a very nice place, it's pretty and the people are nice, but it;s not my type of place. I will be transfering next year to a place where acedemic pursuance is respected.

A Great All-Around Uniersity

Michigan State is a great place to chose to attend college. There is a club or organization for anything and everything that one could be interested in, and you can come here knowing that the education you are receiving is a great one. There is so much diversity on campus, and you will make lifelong friends throughout your years here. Season basketball and football tickets are a must, as well as taking advantage of the other free sports events. Overall, I know I made the right decision to come to Michigan State, and will continue to take advantage of all the opportunities that MSU has to offer

I Find Myself Depressed at Times

It seems like my classes or my dating situation usually get me down. Or being too busy, too many meetings and exams. My roommates have been horrible so far. But I usually find something to pick me up.
