Some of the facilities available to students include the recreation center, intramural fields, a music library, various dining facilities, post office, and much more. The recreation center, which has an indoor pool with a slide, an outdoor pool, a rock-climbing wall, a weight room, aerobics, fitness testing, and one-on-one training, is very popular. Intramural and club sports are offered, as well as student adventure trips, such as rafting and camping all over the United States and other countries. These trips are usually reasonably priced and are great opportunities. Or, if you prefer to go solo or with a small group of friends, you can rent camping equipment such as tents, canoes, kayaks, and trailers.
The four-story library is a proud point for the campus. It has almost 936,172 volumes and more than 3,500 newspapers and magazines. The Learning Resource Center is a benefit to visual learners because it has video and audio materials on many topics to improve students’ learning experience. It also has many films and CD-ROMs. Currently, the roads on campus and around town are undergoing construction, and new campus buildings are cropping up, while others, such as a science building and student union, will be breaking ground soon.

Reconstruction of Campus
MTSU has a newly build recreation center and library. These buildings both have adequate space and are modern in appearance. The campus is always trying to improve. Thus, they are current, building the new student building, which will be amazing after it is completed.

Overall Campus Feel
The campus is diverse; it's not uncommon to see people skateboarding in the quad while someone is playing the cello or some other musical instrument. It's a fairly clean campus, but there's continual construction or refinishing. The recreation center is wonderful. It has a cardio room, weight room, raquetball courts, basketball courts, pool, two aerobics rooms, and a rock wall. There are frequently plays and music concerts that are free for students. The only downside is most of the food choices aren't the healthiest.

Library
Well net and well kept. You can check out books for most classes and you can print copies as well. They will assist you as well if needed. Also there is a lot of room so there aren't too many students in one location. Very quiet and can always get work done.
