College Prowler Take
When it comes to relationships, everyone has their own priorities. Some people are here to make friends and train for their careers, while others will master nothing more than the sticky floor beneath their feet. You will find good and bad in both sexes, but for the most part, people here are kind and social. Since most students are from the Tennessee area, it can sometimes be difficult to break into an established clique—a lot of students come to MTSU knowing who they will live, eat, and socialize with—but some come here not knowing a soul. Generally, the new people end up hanging out with one another, while the established cliques simply grow stronger. However, there are places where all people integrate, such as clubs, associations, fraternities, and sororities. Joining an organized group is the easiest way to satisfy a strong social appetite.
When it comes to dating, clubs and bars are good places to meet the excitable type. If you are not looking for a relationship, you can find a fly-by friend at any local pub. Most people seem to find prospects for long-term relationships at places they frequent as a result of their interests. The drama club, Starbucks, and cultural festivals are examples of good places to meet a good person.

FactsBirth Control Available?
Yes - Yes, many forms of birth control are available, including birth control pills (Alesse, Ortho Tricycline, and Lo Ovral), condoms, Depo-Provera injections, and the Ortho Evra patch. The cost of the pill is $10 per pack, and the others range in price from $33 to $48. The MTSU Women’s Center also writes prescriptions for Lunelle shots, which need to be filled at an off-campus pharmacy.
Social Scene
For better or worse, there seems to be a rather large party scene. The University and student organizations hold many social events ranging from Bible studies to open mic nights. Most people seem to be friends with the people they see in their classes or have known from high school. It isn’t hard to find friends who share your interests.
Hookups or Relationships?
Most relationships center around a common hangout or
classes. It’s not hard to run into that special someone several times a week, increasing your exposure and—hopefully—your chances. Whatever type of relationship you’re looking for (trial, serious, open, short), it can be found on campus.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
Studying is a primary pastime for an MTSU student, so the library is a good quiet place to have a few one-on-one onversations with a hot prospect. Plus, you both look good ecause you appear intelligent and driven. Or you can always ang out at sporting events, go to concerts, and attend niversity-sponsored cookouts. Student clubs are also a great place to meet people with similar interests. And if you’re not looking for anything serious, the local bars are an excellent prospect for meeting a guy or girl.
Dress Code
The dress code here is basically nothing offensive. Most people don jeans and T-shirts, but there are a few who take pride in their appearance long past the first days of freshmanhood.
Some girls wear heels that could kill a mongoose, while others have been seen in pajamas.
