Financial Aid at MTSU

The financial aid office at MTSU is great! ...If you are a good student, that is. Large amounts of money ($4000/year for me!) are awarded by the school just for having a good high school GPA. Federal aid students receive is smoothly processed by the school as well. Although I haven't had any problems, it is advisable to stay on top of things and make sure your forms and information are processed in a timely manner.

I received financial aid based on my gpa. As I stated in my last open response, MTSU does a pretty good job of offering financial aid based on gpa and financial need, rather than one or the other. I did have to keep an eye on the process just because computer problems would create issues such as not showing previously received paperwork, but other than that, the financial aid process isn't bad. To get a scholarship, I would keep at least a 3.5 gpa, the higher, the better award you receive. I would also watch my pipeline account for mssgs about required papers.
