The Reason I choose midlands tech is i have 2 children and this is a school where i can work and still attend scholl.. All of the other schools in my area require that you be full time even with the general courses.. The teachers are very nice and the times I can come to school really work well with me to be able to acheive my b+ grade average...

Midlands consists of new high school graduates and many students returning after being out of school for quite sometime. There is a wide variety of students in age and ethnicity. It seems to be a good blend and most try to make friends and help other classmates.

I am the ADN program and have been working full time for a dermatologist and going to classes in the evening for 2 years. The classes have been challenging but I have spent all time outside of work studying and it has paid off. In 2 weeks I start clinicals and will not be able to work full time any longer. I am looking forward to hands on training and hope to keep my A grades.

The only hard thing as of now is completing all of my sciences, mainly because that is a hard subject for me. Otherwise, it's not bad at all!

It's a really good school for anyone to attend. Teachers/advisors are willing to help if needed. Some teachers are more helpful than others but there is always someone to lead you in the right direction!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was definitely fortunate to receive the financial aid to attend college. being without a job and going to school at my age (52) is very demanding on the people around me. thanks to the Pell grant and some student loans it is possible. I just wish that I knew of other ways to receive other student loans so my tip would be to attend a financial aide workshop which I plan on attending this semester to see what other options I have available.

my convenience at this school is great. I live very close to the campus and the instructors are very well informed of what they need to be teaching to their students. most of the people that I have talked to did not have very much trouble finding their place in the workplace. the academic advisors are very helpful in putting you on the right path to achieve your goals. I haven't had to transfer any credits yet so I cant really comment on this but people I have talked to say that most of their credits were accepted at other schools.

the professors are always eager to assist when you have any problem in understanding something. the registration goes smoothly with the help of the academic advisors available and they are very helpful in making sure you are on the right path in obtaining your degree. I personally have had good relationships with my instructors and advisors so far in pursuit of my degree.

I've only use the computer room once since I've been enrolled. The staff working was very helpful. There are plenty of computers available for use. I had privacy and space to work. The internet services were fast and I wasn't charged for my prints.

So far the campus resources are excellent. I have no problems getting information.

So far I've only had the experience of the schools library, student center, school bookstore, testing area, and student records. Which all were wonderful experiences. The people whom I've meet so far take the time to explain things to you. If they can't answer your questions or concerns they will find someone who can. I really appreciate my experience with my advisor. My session was only 15-30 minutes. I kept her for over an hour. Although she had an appointment right after me. She didn't rush her answers or push my questions out the door. She guided my threw.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Midlands Tech. has an excellent financial aid department. I am a college freshmen. Enrolling in college was all new to me. I was afraid and worried. I called and visited the financial aid department several times with questions about my fasfa and student loans. Everyone always made me feel welcome and they always answered my questions with a smile.

It was a refreshing change of pace in comparison to the traditional classroom.
College Freshman 2013-08-02T21:06:05Z
Registering into the school was incredibly easy. I was rather close to the cut off date for registration and was worried that I wouldn't be able to enroll, but I was still able to get all the classes I needed for my major.
College Freshman 2013-08-02T21:04:02Z
I am able to attend classes that will help me succeed in my selected major. No silly electives required.

Computer Technology is a fast growing field, and Midlands Tech does a great job with keeping up with information. Workload is reasonable and challenging, and the facilities are easy to navigate.
College Junior 2013-07-28T19:15:02Z
The campus is very beautiful, and the buildings are well laid-out. There are designated smoking areas, which is helpful to people such as myself who do not smoke and are allergic to cigarette smoke. There aren't many athletic centers that I've seen, but that may be due to the fact that Midlands Tech is a technical college. There are still many campus activities, including a special theatre program.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
