The security officers on campus are very helpful and kind. Once I lost my ID badge and usually when students lose items, they get returned to the security officer at the front desk. The security office was unexpectedly waiting in front of my classroom to give me my ID badge. This left an everlasting impression on me and felt cared for by school personnel. I feel safe on campus.

The campus serves decent food, but I feel that the cafeteria can be improved with their food choices. The one inconvenient aspect of the dining hall is that it is not opened throughout the whole day. There are specific hours and sometimes this can be inconvenient for students who don't live on campus because they will have to drive or walk a distance outside of school to purchase food at a restaurant or food chain. There is not a lot of variety either.

Computers are fairly slow and the network on campus is extremely slow and down frequently.

Very safe campus no drug use on campus security is always present.

There's no drug scene at Midwestern. A large portion of the student body doesn't even drink.

Employees and faculty at Midwestern treat students and their families with great respect. I've only seen, heard, and experienced good things. There's no excessive or lack of strictness on campus, rather students and alike are treated like adults. Most, if not all, faculty members have open door policies regarding academic and social issues.

Health & Safety:
I feel very safe on campus as there are always security guards patrolling and manning the front entrance. The buildings also require student/faculty ID badges for entrance.

I am moving from Missouri to Glendale, AZ this August. My previous school UMKC in Kansas City, MO I would rate off-campus housing a C because it was average. A good, safe home was very hard to come buy without paying an incredible amount of money

Glendale is a quieter suburb just north of Phoenix. There are plenty of bars immediately in the area, and tons of attractions in Phoenix and in nearby Scottsdale. You can go to the Phoenix zoo, botanical gardens, or the Salt River just to name a few. During the summer if you feel like getting away from the heat you can head up to Sedona or Flagstaff to go camping.

New athletic center and student center. The library is beautiful, many windows, great place to study!

The faculty are open, wonderful mentors. Classes are great and it is fun to get to know students in other programs in classes like anatomy and physiology. Study groups are a must, and the new facilities make it so much better!

It's hard to party a lot with grad school, but if you work hard enough you have enough time to play and plenty of options to choose from.

There are a variety of people on campus, and our program looks extensively at cultural impacts on healthcare in large part because of this. It is a great learning tool for both medical practice and life in general.
Midwestern is very diverse and accepting in its students and faculty. We have a Diversity Week coming up next month where each program is representing a country so we can learn more about other cultures!

There's so much to do in the Phoenix area including hiking, shopping, dining, museums, sports, etc. Up north a few hours is Sedona for hiking and Flagstaff for snowboarding in the winter.
College Senior 2013-03-25T02:52:23Z
There is Westgate, Scottsdale, Desert Ridge, and Mill Ave for the bar/club scene and plenty of cab services for safe partying.
College Senior 2013-03-25T02:51:03Z
Classes are very close to the parking structures so no matter the weather, you don't have to be stuck outside for too long! We have a few rainy days a year and several hot days but there are plenty of seats indoors and shaded areas on campus.
College Senior 2013-03-25T02:47:51Z
There is an open door policy with the professors. They really want you to succeed!

I live in Scottsdale which is about 30 min away but there is rarely any traffic. Many apartments within walking distance that provide flexible options for students

Wonderful campus life with lots of program collaboration. We do lots of BBQ's and meet and greets. During the warm months, everyone is playing sand volleyball.
