Acceptance and diversity are very high here.

The new 500-page per semester printing quota sucks

There isn't much fan support despite involvement.

There isn't peer pressure to drink or do drugs.

Several good transportation options exist.

I don't know much yet about this, but I do like it

Only 2 dorms exist for disabled students—not good.

The time when they're open are not ideal.

The food is great! There are vegan/vegetarian options. The food is generally healthy, with a few options of non-healthy, if you want. There is a wide variety of food. Cereal and ingredients to make PB&J are always available. People that serve the food are almost always friendly. Desserts are always available! Oh, and it's always a buffet! The only downside is that the cafeteria isn't open late at night.

Guys & Girls:
Mills is an all-women's college, so there aren't any guys, except at the graduate school.

High quality education. Lots of extra-curricular activities and many ways to get involved at school.
College Sophomore 2013-10-29T02:46:49Z
High quality education and great professors! Easy to communicate with professors, and small class sizes.

I haven't really used transportation, but it seems like it's great. I haven't heard any complaints.

The housing is really good at Mills College. Even though it will definitely cost you an arm and a leg if you choose to live on campus it's definitely worth it. The rooms are, for the most part, very spacious and well furnished (they even come with their own sinks!) and the buildings' architecture is nice to look at. The facilities are clean, and they have a nice mix of old and new. The views from the housing units aren't that bad to see either.
The only downsides about Mills housing is that you can't control the heat until the administration chooses to turn it on (it can get pretty brisk during the fall/winter). Also, the housing is expensive but worth it.

I'm a science major and I must say that the academics here are astounding. The classes are challenging, but most of the teachers are fair, and there's so many resources available for people if they need help with assignments, applying for jobs/positions, etc. The environment is very academically focused and everyone is extremely hard working.

I've got some great professors and some not so great. Going to such a small school means I cannot avoid the teachers I do not like. I wish the program had required us to take calculus.
College Junior 2013-10-01T00:43:58Z
Super easy. There wasn't any work involved at all.
College Junior 2013-10-01T00:43:07Z
Really the school does little because students police each other. If you are too loud, and do not have a strong relationship with your neighbors: expect them to call public safety. Public safety will be nice to you though.
Not a party school at all.

Very expensive, but beautiful. Ethel Moore was my absolute favorite. The rooms are large for dorm rooms and very few people share rooms. Some of the newer dorms are less nice.

I'm not even sure how to go about getting an internship. Though many of my friends get them.

There is a campus shuttle that can take you around the Oakland, Berkeley, and Rockridge area. If you want to go into San Francisco there is a bus you can take that will take you across the bridge. You can also take a bus to a BART Station. There is a bus stop right outside of the Mills College gate. Part of your bill includes paying for a Clipper Card which allows to ride the buses throughout the whole year, you just have to pick it up at the beginning of the year.

The M Center is where you go deal with financial aid. They are very disorganized. Every year I had some of paperwork lost, even when I turned it early. You must follow up with them constantly, either by phone or by going into the office, or else your award letter may come in right before class begins, which is an inconvenience. I did get financial aid and when I need more they would give me a bigger loan.

There is always someone available to help you or answer your questions. I am very fond of every single member of the Athletic department.

Dining is good for the most part, there are multiple options for all kinds of people. You can purchase food at the main dining hall with meal points or the tea shop where you can utilize points that you can purchase with your meal plan.
There are a few places around campus that deliver to the many buildings where students live.

The campus is great it is in sunny Oakland CA. There are plenty of things to do in Oakland, but not too close to campus. There is transportation available via the shuttle that is run by the school as well as public transportation (AC Transit). Oakland is a diverse community and I feel very welcome there.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
