Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

I am in love with this program. Specifically, the Queer Theory professors are amazing. Priya Kandaswamy particularly. If she was not at this school, I don't know if I could give it an A. If there were more professors like Priya in my department, it would be an A+ easy. Our school has lots of connections since we are in the east bay to real things we can do with our degree and it's very exciting.

75% Amazing Professors

I'd say that 75% of my professors have been excellent. Coursework is thoughtful and class discussions are provocative. There are a handful of professors who still give the high school-esque crap like weekly response papers (that everyone bullsh*ts), etc. Most professors seem really engaged in student learning and in love with their areas of study.

Intermedia Arts Program

The intermedia Arts Program at Mills is still evolving, and has yet to amass many student in the program. This is the only critique I have, for I feel as though there isn't much solidarity within this program. On the other hand, that this program even exists is very appealing to me because I couldn't find anything quite like it anywhere else. I enjoy the variety of subjects that can fit under the blanket of Intermedia Arts, and find it perfect for me, someone who is interested in learning everything.
