Party/Club/Bar Scene

Transportation to Berkeley/SF is okay, although you should always go with a group of friends because some areas can be sketchy. Bunch of clubs/bars in SF (30 minutes by bus) and parties in Berkeley (20 mins) but not a large variety on or near campus.

There's a Nightlife?

The campus doesn't offer much in the way of "exciting" nightlife, but there are some dances and student-run events occasionally. Most students go to Berkeley for more exciting nightlife options, which isn't too far.

Small Intimate Gatherings

Most students prefer to stay-in most of the time, and socializing usually consists of small parties in students' dorm rooms, with friends, some alcohol, and music. There are "wilder" nightlife options close by in Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco as well.
