Shuttle, Yes. but Probably Bus.

The shuttle is by far the preferred way to get around the Bay Area. It drops students off at a nearby BART station and also UC Berkeley campus. While the shuttle is a preferred mode of transport for many students, it is not exactly the most regular or convenient way to get around. Students often end up having to figure out how to get to their destination by bus.

Bus/Shuttle/Car

There is a free shuttle from Mills to BART trains/downtown Berkeley. It runs a loop about every hour. Buses are right outside the campus, but some can be sketchy at night/without a group of people, although you get an AC Transit card so all bus rides are free. Parking cars is hard on campus - CROWDED.

Fair Rates

We have a shuttle that carries students to UC Berkeley 16 times a day. I believe it's useful because we get to intermingle with other college students, and get involved in organizations off campus. Taxis are cheaper because they are highly used in Oakland and SF. We also have an AC Transit pass to use limitless in the bay. Nonetheless, the costs add to our over priced tuition.
