Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Anyone that has diverse tastes sighs when they watch students line up for the Grille, whose menu includes such variety as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and bacon cheeseburgers. The upside is that meals are all-you-can-eat. If you can fit it on your tray, you can have it. Nevertheless, disgruntled upperclassmen’s trays sometimes carry a few pieces of fruit and a glass of soda. Despite the boring menu, there has been no attempt to court more diverse food options. The Kava House is a more social area with a large television and a stage used for open-mic nights and small events. After grabbing an Outtake (the lunch bag that registers as one meal on the weekly plan), students either scurry off to their meetings and assignments or veg on the couch for some much-needed rest.

During some weekend celebrations in the Bowl, the Caf’ sets up in the Leggett Center lobby, allowing students to quickly grab dinner before returning to the outdoor festivities. If low attendance is expected for a weekend, the Caf’ has frequently, and without warning, closed early. At $7 a meal, most students don’t feel like they’re getting a bargain. At the same time, any menu, however diverse, would grow staid after four years.

Menu

The food quality and portions are definitely not worth the price of the meal plan. The Kava house serves the worst lunch sandwiches known to mankind and everyone complains about the food offered in the cafeteria. It's all extremely processed and very piccadilly-esque. Not my favorite part about the school.

There is no flexibility in campus...

There is no flexibility in campus dining. You have a set number of choices (just imagine the McDonald’s menu). Sometimes, they have local restaurants give samples, but desperate students have engulfed all the samples by the time you have glanced at them. The school is small, but as it is so clique-ish, most students make sure they meet someone there.
