I am a microcomputer web support major and there is a variety of classes i am taking.
College Senior 2013-09-25T15:04:48Z
I just wish there was more support all across the board.
College Senior 2013-09-25T15:03:39Z
I went to get a tutor and the only availability for it was two hours that wont work for me..

I feel there is not a support system for students. I am/was struggling with a subject and i was told to figure it out. Not happy but i need to finish.

The campus has many good resources but the availability is too miniscule. Some things are walk in and some others take weeks just to get in.

So far my experience has been really good. I actually praise this college to students of other colleges, I tell them how much they could save by switching and how concise it is.

I haven't much knowledge on this subject but I do know that the career center has been successful in finding students the jobs they want and Southeast Tech has a high job rate.
College Junior 2013-08-27T12:31:00Z
My first assumption was that technical colleges such as Southeast Tech would be low grade and low tech but they are actually very professional and they upped my expectations.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is good for a technical college and all Minnesota State College tuition's are frozen so they stay the same for multiple years. Compared to other colleges in the area, Southeast Tech has quite decent tuition costs.

This is a very, very small school, so it doesn't have the facilities larger schools such as the U of M may have. It doesn't have any athletic centers, nor does it have many campus activities. But to me that is fine. I'm not going because of the extras, I'm just going for my degree. It's got a good online library, though the physical library is a little lacking. The campus is always neat and clean and inviting, and really, that's all that matters.

What I really love about this school is that it is a small school. You get to know the teachers a lot easier and most are willing to bend over backwards to help their students succeed. Another great thing about the school is that it is one of the very few schools that have an instrument repair program in the United States. People from all over come here just to learn the trade.

There is the LRC and a computer lab and usually they both always have enough seats open. The printing is free, which is great, and the wireless access is easy. I can bring my laptop if I want, but I usually never do because it's always so convenient to just hop on one of the faculty computers and get my business taken care of.

All of the teachers I have dealt with, except one, have been wonderful and very accommodating. The faculty has been helpful with everything, and the classes are very flexible, which is important to me right now. I know that there are a few of my credits that can't transfer, which is why I am sticking out my two year degree here. It's a small campus and the classes are small, which is very nice.

We have a computer lab and there always seems to be a computer open when you need one. Things work fast and though I don't really NEED a laptop there, if it became necessary, The internet is fast enough that it wouldn't be a big deal

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Band instrument repair is pretty specialized, so I think the tuition I pay is worth it. The ladies in financial aid are super nice and make the process crazy-easy

Building Guitars – The guitar building and repair program is very extensive, covering all of the knowledge which a professional luthier is expected to know. Students start out learning the basics of the guitars construction and how to use the tools which are necessary to the building process. From there they learn parts of the guitar: how to maintain, fix, and build them. This all leads to the actual construction of the students' own guitars. The workload is manageable, and the professors offer help to students who struggle with the material covered.

Excellent Guitar Program – I chose to come to this school because of the guitar program, and so far it is everything that I had heard it was from friends/acquaintances and the overview of the program online. The professors who make up the guitar building and repair program are very competent, able to teach the material well, and work very well with the wide variety of backgrounds of students who enter the program.

I feel I get more out of going to campus and taking the course compared to learning online. A lot of the teachers are more than willing to work with their students, but I still feel as if the personal touch is lacking.
I am not very good with managing my time, so if I am not expected to be somewhere it tends not to happen. Hence, I leave my online courses to the last minute causing less quality of work.
If you can't balance going to work and going to campus and are able to manage your time properly, then by all means. The classes online here seem to be wonderfully engaging - as much as they can be.

Transfering Credits – I transferred in many credits and most helped me although some did not but when i asked about the ones that did not they took a second look and made sure i had received credit for the ones i should have.

Southeast Tech – The school offers many programs, I only can tell you about the nursing program but it was easy to get into and the workload is manageable, the teachers are fair and fast with grading, there is free tutoring if needed.

Southeast tech is small so depending on your program you know everyone and teachers have the chance to get to know you.

Computer Lab – Our nursing students have their own small lab but usually a computer is open if needed. There is a larger computer lab for everyone else. We are not charged a per copy to print but a fee upfront for technology.

My Experience – My experience at the school is that the teachers are great and willing to answer any questions or help you out if needed.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I never had a problem with the financial aid. If I had a question they were quick to get back to me and explain anything I didn't understand. The process was easy online. Money was direct deposited in my checking account. There was no problems for me.

Alumni network doesn't amount to much. Career center however is quite helpful. Job prospects are decent but only if you are staying in the area.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
