MSUM is focused on academics. Countless former students have reported being happy they chose this college, but there are always ways to make a good experience better. Just like anything in life, college is what one puts into it. The more students become involved and study, the more they take out of it. As long as a student doesn’t become trapped in the tendency to go out and party or not do their homework, then they’ll be fine. There are many different ways to become active. Most students who have joined clubs and organizations and have become active have reported that it has made their college experience much better.
Fargo-Moorhead is a fun community with many events going on. Fargo alone has over 40 parks so students can always go and take a walk along the river, play catch at any of the parks, or gawk at the sunbathers. The main problem with Fargo-Moorhead is the weather. The winters are brutal, and summers are too short. However, the University does a great job of keeping students warm and entertained during the long winter months.
