The campus itself does not provide any transportation. The Moorhead city transportation is very reliable.

Over all good job. I am almost entirely satisfied with my experience here so far. The only thing that bothers me is the rumors that the school is going to go out of business before I get my degree.

I personally have a fair number of ethnicity diverse friends on campus. And a far as I can tell there's acceptance by the get majority. Acceptance and diversity is the biggest goal (next to education) on campus.

Parking passes for a year is roughly $120. It can be added to financial aid charges, too. Sometimes finding parking is a little difficult during the day if it's in the middle of the day. Early morning and late afternoon isn't so bad. Most general parking is in and around the residence hall so walking to lecture halls is not bad. The need for a car isn't that great as there is bus services and you can find others with a car.

While drugs and alcohol are no allowed on campus you can find people who use them. It also depends on what activities you become involved in whether you're exposed to it or not.

Guys & Girls:
At MSUM girls outnumber guys 3-1. Everyone is pretty friendly but the community is not that diverse. I've made some friends with international students and foreign exchange students. Most students on campus are White German Americans or White Norwegian Americans.

Health & Safety:
I'm not familiar with all of these things yet.

Transferring here was horrible. My transcripts were lost. I had to resend them. Two people that were supposed to help me retired while I was trying to get accepted here. I had to be extremely motivated and remember to bother them to get accepted here. In hindsight, it was worth it but I didn't like that stress.

I'm still new at this program but I'm confident it will help me get a job in the film industry. I'm very passionate about working in the film industry but I don't specifically know where I would be suited best in that industry yet.

So far this program is great. I'm getting to do hands on things in my first semester here!

It's a small town and relatively safe. There are things to do here and well traveling is a pain but then if you're willing to take the bus and know how to take the bus then you are good to go. Other than that the shopping is pretty decent other than the tax in Fargo, North Dakota.

It's a small town but it doesn't mean there cant be close restaurant near by nor stores.

The Fargo-Moorhead area has a wide variety of apartments, homes, and even solo rooms that people rent out under leases. There is easily availability if you look for it. There is also a large range of pricings too, I'm rather picky though, so that's why I gave an A-.

There is stuff for students to do, but not many free events. Most events cost 7-10 dollars to get into, so that can make it tough for students with limited cash flow to do things.
College Sophomore 2013-08-06T14:11:38Z
City buses are the main type of transportation. You can have a car on campus, but parking is an issue.
College Sophomore 2013-07-22T21:57:37Z
Moorhead is a nice town on the Minnesota North Dakota border. Cold and windy in the winter!

Health & Safety:
Public safety is pretty good but we always make fun of them.
They are good at giving people minors and walking us back to our dorms.
College Sophomore 2013-05-17T23:36:01Z
They are pretty good. Some buildings could use an upgrade, but the ones that have them are beautiful.
College Sophomore 2013-05-17T23:34:32Z
We are good at basketball. Well guys are.
Our football team is known to suck. No one tries out, it's embarrassing.
College Sophomore 2013-05-17T23:33:36Z
The wellness center is amazing. I just wish we had more hours and more places to do yoga and hula hoop.
College Sophomore 2013-05-17T23:30:40Z
Kise is good at first but then as the year goes on their quality of food goes down.
College Junior 2013-04-19T02:24:31Z
Campus is getting renovated and is starting to really come together. The theatre is really outdated though. But I might just be saying that cause I am a theatre major. The campus atmosphere is great. The school is big enough where I don't know everyone but will always see friends almost no matter where I go.
College Freshman 2013-04-17T01:23:46Z
The facilities at MSUM are great, especially considering the tuition is not very expensive. Everything is easy to access, staff is always helpful and everything looks pretty nice.
College Freshman 2013-04-17T01:21:17Z
It is very cold at MSUM and we always have to be worried if there's going to be a flood when the snow melts. Otherwise is a great college, so even with the awful weather, it is worth it.
College Sophomore 2013-03-30T16:54:05Z
There is an informational class that is required of all freshman students, but the campus security could do a better job of enforcing drug regulations.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
