Everyone's pretty open, so long as you're not causing a scene.

On campus, one can easily see that diversity is generally well accepted. There are many languages spoken on campus, and many political beliefs. Sexuality and religious beliefs are also diverse, and one can find a group to support almost every life condition.

While not the most diverse when it comes to the male to female of the student body, the school boosts a surprising number of international students. The student body is made up of about 25% women compared to the greater number of male students studying engineering and science. However, this number has been growing steadily. When my grandfather went to school here, there were only two female students. As I said before, there is actually a good amount of ethnic and racial diversity. Along with this there is much religious diversity. As far as sexual orientation, in my time here I have found that there is actually quite a bit of diversity in this matter.

Many of the students at Missouri S&T are international or have close ethnic roots to foreign countries. Because of this fact, the school is seemingly very diverse. We are also located in southeast Missouri, so there is a large white population in addition.

Our campus is very diverse and everyone is helpful. Most all the students respect everyone's differences and there are many clubs for every diversity. Some isolate themselves and are anti social but for the most part nice and welcoming.
