i play softball and the program is not that bad but we definitely get the short end of the stick. we do not even have a field on campus let alone our own field. unfortunately we have to share with the local high school team which i think is ridiculous. the field is horrible, there is barely even grass in the outfield and there is so many bumps that you could be fielding a ball right at you and the next second it goes five feet to your right. we are not sponsored so we have to get all our own gear. our warm ups are usually way too big for us, and we do not even have any decent tees to work with. on top of all that we have to practice late at night in the gym because every sport gets priority over us even if they are not in season and we are. it definitely sometimes does not feel like college softball because i had more and better gear in high school and better facilities.

The weather hasn't been too bad except for the past couple of weeks. We got a lot of snow here and classes were cancelled for several days each week, but hasn't effected our overall spring schedule. Most of the time the weather is manageable.

The academics here at Missouri Valley are pretty good. Professors are easy to talk to and willing to meet with you if you have questions or just want to talk. The workload isn't too bad; it really depends on the classes that you take. Most professors follow their syllabus so you have an idea of what will be discussed. The registration process is easy and fast; you meet with your adviser and they discuss classes with you for the next semester.

My major is Mass Communications. There are many opportunities within the classes. It's fairly easy to get published in the newspaper and online. Our yearbook/magazine class allows us to write stories and take pictures for the yearbook/magazine. It's encourages to be a part of the school's radio station as well. There are many opportunities to use equipment as well.

I received some scholarship money from the college. The college has many sports scholarships available as well as a few academic ones. I still ended up getting a loan and and paying part of tuition, but the scholarships helped.

It's a very good academic institution, generally you will have classes with a small number of students. the professors here are great and they are happy to teach and you can reach them with ease.

I'm only a freshman right now but as far as the classes needed towards my major I've been satisfied. I like my Intro to Education courses as well as my math courses.

This school is basically all about sports. It allows for us to have friends at an easier accessibility.

It's close to the school and free, but the parking spaces are small.

the dining is always the same dirty dishes. So you always have to search for the clean ones. You can never leave with food for reasons that are not explained. There are no late night options.

It is difficult to know the amount of financial aid your going to be getting at the school. So you may have an outstanding balance.

Can be very strict when changing rooms without going through the process correctly. If you don't attend a mandatory meeting, you get fined $100.

The dorms are alright. Bathrooms is MacDonald were just renovated. All dorms are fairly close to everything else on campus as it is not a very large campus. Cost is not very cheap, and food has some variety. Housing process was fairly easy.

Not many good places to eat besides Applebee's and fast food.
College Sophomore 2013-02-04T20:13:29Z
Not that great. Not very many options for females. When I moved in to my room it was extremely dirty.

Great school, very good professors, very vary bad food, and not a whole lot of campus activities.

I haven't noticed a push for academic success here. It is a tier 4 so it isn't too expected, the school thrives off the athletes.

Guys & Girls:
No one is outgoing or interesting. Dead campus with little activity
College Sophomore 2013-01-16T18:24:43Z
Parking is in proximity of the school and it's free!

There's plenty of places to go, and everyone knows everyone, so it's cool.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
