- The MSU Career Services does an exceptional job of helping engineering majors find jobs through the annual Career Fair. Students in other fields of study usually have to take it up on their own to seek out advice and contacts from the center. There is also an Education Majors Fair that is organized for future teachers. Attend all fairs, including the career and majors fairs, even if your major is underrepresented, because there is a possibility that a few companies will have a spot for you. The most effective way to get a job is to build a strong résumé through extracurricular activities and jobs.
