College Prowler Take
Many students at MSU, mainly those from out-of-state, are surprised that they ended up here. What they find even more surprising is that they never want to leave. Academics find a great research university and exceptional learning environment. Skiers look out their windows to see countless backcountry and ski hill opportunities. Coffeeshop connoisseurs could sample different drinks for weeks, and young philosophers could sit around for hours throwing ideas out to one another. Where the school is lacking, the town and surroundings compensate, and vice versa. An education should consist of more than sitting in a classroom, and MSU realizes this.
Attracting people who love life and are happy in their current situations, MSU and Bozeman have a pleasant atmosphere. The only problem with this is the unwillingness to change, which causes a lot of issues to stagnate in the community. Overall, MSU is a place where the happiness is infectious, as is the relaxed state of mind. Everyone is accepted, and people from different backgrounds love to mix. Most often, the people who
are not happy here are those who dislike fun, nature,
and getting an education.

Being at Montana State has been a great experience, hands down one of the best choices of my life. In Bozeman, there’s no such thing as a stranger, just a friend you haven’t made yet. There is always something to do, either scholastically or socially. |

Recently, I’ve really enjoyed being here, but my first year it was kind of hard getting into the swing of things. I recommend being a full-time student because it will help you get into the college life quicker. |

When I first started looking at colleges, MSU was at the bottom of my list. Somehow, I ended up here, and I am so glad I did—it is my favorite place to be. The school and Bozeman have their ups and downs, but I would never consider trading my time here for anything. |

I love it here. The people are great, the education is great, the town is great. The only other place I could even imagine going to school other than Montana is in Europe so that I could study abroad. |
