Bozeman is a college town in the middle of more mountain ranges than one could possibly have time to play in and go to school, which is highly frustrating in an awesome way. Make sure to go on as many trails as possible, grab something to eat at the Cateye and Montana Ale Works, but stay away from Wal-Mart. |

Living in South Hedges was a lot like living at a seedy hotel of commerce—lots of activity without glitz or glamour. Hapner is supposedly haunted and built over the old Bozeman brothel. |

So MSU isn’t on Playboy’s top 10 list of attractive universities, but when you take a lady back to ma and pa, they won’t say ‘Her?’ |

The Greek life here is not very big compared to other schools across the nation, but we definitely have it, and it is a presence on campus. |

The Greeks may be less active here than at other schools, but they are still involved. They put on activities across campus, and it is a good way for students to get involved. |

The airport here is about the tiniest thing I’ve ever seen. I think it has a total of three gates. If you’re flying in or out of Bozeman, be prepared for a cramped, noisy ride until you get to your transfer flight. |

If you’re coming to Bozeman from a big city like I did, you might get confused. There is not a trolley, there is hardly a bus system, and a lot of people seem to be fine with it. The airport is even miniscule here! |

I don’t think Bozeman has ever heard of the words ‘public transportation.’ Thankfully, most of the time, it’s pretty easy to get from point A to point B on a bike. |

As far as I know, we don’t even have a form of public transportation. Bozeman, on the whole, doesn’t seem to care much about letting its residents throw pollutants in the air. |

Public transportation is pretty much nonexistent in a town of this size, but a lot can be said for CatCab, the cheap taxi service for students on weekends. |

It’s sunny a lot here. I’m from the West Coast, so Bozeman seems like the sunshine capital of the world. Just because it’s Montana, don’t expect there to be three feet of snow on the ground all the time, though. We could always have more snow. |

Recently, I’ve really enjoyed being here, but my first year it was kind of hard getting into the swing of things. I recommend being a full-time student because it will help you get into the college life quicker. |

Being at Montana State has been a great experience, hands down one of the best choices of my life. In Bozeman, there’s no such thing as a stranger, just a friend you haven’t made yet. There is always something to do, either scholastically or socially. |

I have found a really great match here at MSU, so I would definitely say that I want spend the rest of my school career here. The overall mix of natural beauty and the opportunity to study is perfect for me. |

As a photography major in the MTA department, I’ve found that all my teachers are pretty laid-back. This semester, one of them is an old hippie, one is a flighty painter, one is a recent MSU graduate, and one is hardly in class, choosing to leave most of the work up to his adjuncts. The classes I have are very interesting, with the exception of one film class that is required for photo majors that I find to be the biggest waste of time. |

The professors here are fine, for the most part. Like any school, there are fantastic teachers and those that are not so fantastic. In my experience, they have been good. They know their subjects and teach effectively. |

For the most part, I have found teachers who really enjoy teaching, and they put a lot of effort into teaching undergraduates. They are always very pleasant to talk to, and they go out of their way to make themselves available when necessary. |

Now that I’m a sophomore in the film program, classes have become very focused in my department, so it seems necessary to get to know the teachers really well in order to be successful. Most of the teachers are helpful about getting us (the students) the kind of equipment and attention that we need to complete our film projects. |

Bozeman is a happy outdoor town with a lot of granola and hick types all mixed together and getting along. There is definitely a good vibe here. |

The atmosphere in Bozeman is rich in oxygen, due to the many, many trees. On the serious side, everyone has to check out the trails around the town. |

There is a mixture of reviews on the local atmosphere; some say it’s boring, I say relaxed, and others find the mountains packed with fun. |

Bozeman is a very college-oriented town. The town is really supportive of the University. ‘Go Bobcats!’ signs and blue and gold colors grace many storefront windows. The town is very outdoor-oriented, with many mountains in the area and a large majority of the student and general population very into skiing, biking, hiking, and hunting. |
