Quick StatsBest Ways to Get Around Town
- Bike - Bozeman is a small town, and nearly everything is within biking distance.
- Bite the bullet and fill your car up with fuel.
- Grab a pair of walking shoes
- Pretend to be drunk and call Cat Cab.
How to Get to the Airport
- A cab ride to the airport costs $19.
- Go West on Kagy for 1 mile, then turn right onto 19th St. Continue on 19th for 1.3 miles and turn right onto U.S.-191 (Main St.). Continue on 191 for 0.8 miles, then turn left onto BUS-90, and after 0.1 miles, continue for 7.4 miles onto MT-205. The airport is on your right.
College Prowler Take
The majority of Bozeman seems to be content with letting everyone drive a giant SUV and putting minimal funding into alternative modes of transportation. A Greyhound bus station on Main Street gives the car-challenged students a chance to escape Bozeman for the weekend. Sadly, the bus ride usually takes so long that students end up spending the majority of their weekend staring out the window at the landscape. Apart from buses and public transportation, Bozeman has an adequate airport. The airport does not serve as an international gateway, but it does an acceptable job bringing in and flying out puddle jumper planes that take their passengers to Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, or another, more well-equipped airport.

Public transportation is pretty much nonexistent in a town of this size, but a lot can be said for CatCab, the cheap taxi service for students on weekends. |

As far as I know, we don’t even have a form of public transportation. Bozeman, on the whole, doesn’t seem to care much about letting its residents throw pollutants in the air. |

I don’t think Bozeman has ever heard of the words ‘public transportation.’ Thankfully, most of the time, it’s pretty easy to get from point A to point B on a bike. |

If you’re coming to Bozeman from a big city like I did, you might get confused. There is not a trolley, there is hardly a bus system, and a lot of people seem to be fine with it. The airport is even miniscule here! |

The airport here is about the tiniest thing I’ve ever seen. I think it has a total of three gates. If you’re flying in or out of Bozeman, be prepared for a cramped, noisy ride until you get to your transfer flight. |
