The computer labs at MC are local but also very packed for those who don't have computers or a printer at home. It's kind of unreasonable why people are on the computers for so long besides checking out their business and wanting to be with their friends. I think the lab should have better excess for the people who want to get in and out.

because it is a challenge to take online courses, and the school push you to study hard to get good grades. What you have, is what you deserve with no mercy.

Mostly the students are working professionals who are trying to further their education, so they are pleasant enough, and there is a wide level of diversity. Our county is a very diverse county as well.

My school is right on the bus route. I don't drive to school so the bus is important to me.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I got a little bit of financial aid, which helps. It is very important to get all the right financial aid forms in on time.

The hands on courses you get in the work field are real life situations.

The staff at this school was excellent in understanding and there open door policy is awesome.
College Junior 2013-05-11T16:36:29Z
Resources on campus are there for students to use, there is always computer labs open, the library is opened conveniently, the only thing i would request is that during finals week the library stayed open a lot longer. Since it is a community college, campus life isn't that big, but the dean sure is trying.

It is at times complicated the WEPA system we use! but then again we have saved many trees. Montgomery College is very big on E-mail.

Professors at Montgomery College go out of their way to help a student out.

When I'm at school most times I will just use the computers preapred to the students.Everything on the computers such as Word, Access etc are 2007. My classes requires 2010. The speed of the computers are fairly up to date.Printing for me is always a headache. You must pay for printing up unless your class is in a computer lab with a working printer. Sometimes it can be a hassle to get a print card because you can not add money to it; you have to buy a whole new print card when it runs out of money. In some cases the book store will only have a certain card like the $10 print card, and I only need to print like 2 pages.Montgomery college offers wireless access with the worse connection. Every time I leave a building I have to reconnect to the WiFi which is killer because sometimes I have trouble connecting to the WiFi and most times I just use my data.

The campus activities in MC in Takoma are very bland and boring. The campus life here is horrible. Everyone just comes for class then leaves to go home. I'm not an athlete so I don't know where the athletic center is. The only place that is always busy with students is the library and the student building but it gets so crowded that people feel claustrophobic.

Depending on what course you take and what professor you have your academic experience at MC will be worthwhile. You will feel that you got your $ worth. For newcomers ratemyprofessor will be a great way for you to choose your professor. For my recent classes I used that website to help me choose my schedule and professor.

I am an early childhood education major and my professors have very informative and fun lectures. The classes are 3 hours long but time flies when I'm in the class. I really enjoy my professors and they are very understanding and easy to talk to.

Though I have not graduated yet, Monco does a pore job at preparing their students to transfer onto a four a year college, which is surprising because they are in fact a community college. In the field of education, they should be getting us prepared for PAPA, or at the very least making it more available for the students to take.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial Aid at MC is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. Every semester I've been here there has been a problem. I've spoken with other students and they experience the same thing. Important papers or documents get lost all the time, like tax returns. They are constantly adding new paperwork to be filled out, so just when you think you have everything, you have to go back in again. The line is almost always long, and sometimes you get up there and the people working there have no idea why you are having problems. In general the communication between students and the school in this aspect is really poor. The whole system is an absolute nightmare.
College Sophomore 2013-02-09T06:56:06Z
I wouldn't say it's horrible, but I wouldn't call it great either. The program they use to register for classes is really frustrating. I've known students who have gotten kicked out of classes for no reason right before the semester starts and they are left with all the bad professors. It is also inconvenient that many subjects can only be found on one campus, instead of all three.

The attendees of my college are focused on succeeding in their studies. They also enjoy participating in different activities and enjoy to talk to any other student about current issues or different viewpoints. I enjoy listening to diverse options that are thoroughly explained. Besides a focus on their education and their social lifes, many of the students work part-time in order to learn to become finanically independent.

There are two groups: the one who are here for the lack of nothing else to do, and the ones who are serious about changing their life for the better. For my taste I would prefer having my classmates looking good, more elegant...
