Typical Peers
The average student is apathetic towards academics and is probably only at Moorpark because he or she doesn't really have anything else to be doing. There is little communication between students, as no one actually needs to make friends while at Moorpark. It isn't like a four-year school with a dorm experience and a new life.

Student Organizations
There are some clubs on campus, but no one knows about them. Flyers are rarely seen promoting any club activity. The most prominent would be Phi Theta Kappa, and this is only because you physically get a letter in the mail inviting you to join the society if you meet the requirements. Moorpark's own course catalog, which is a staggering 264 pages long, only offers 48 words under the "Campus Life" section, making it arguably, and fittingly, the shortest section in the entire catalog.
