Sociology Is a Family

I adore my major, although I wish there were more honors courses to separate the "This assignment is 10 pages?" from the "This is ONLY ten pages? Whew, I thought I would have to put in effort!" crowd. My only wish is that they would have prepared me more to find internships in my field, and involve me more with what my major has to offer. I often feel as if I'm just taking classes just for a degree, and not for a future job.

An HBCU Experience?

As an HBCU, Morgan has a lot to offer in terms of culture. There are step shows, hype parties, and a strong sense of family on campus. That being said, Morgan is changing rapidly, and that sense of family is as well. No longer are there fraternity or sorority benches on campus, for example, they've been replaced of more friendly, and unaligned nameless benches. The culture is changing, but the fundamentals remain. If you want the HBCU experience, Morgan's a great place to go.
