Alumni Publications Mount Holyoke Alumnae Quarterly, sent free to all alumnae who have an address on file at the Alumnae Association. Each issue contains feature articles and regular columns, plus space for class notes on what the members of each class are up to.
Major Alumni Events
  • The main alumnae events of the year center around Reunion I and Reunion II, both held in late May. Reunion I is held the weekend of Commencement and includes the 2nd, 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, and 75th reunion classes.
  • Reunion II is the weekend after and includes the 5th, 15th, 20th, 30th, 35th, 45th, 55th, and 65th reunion classes. On both weekends, alumnae stay in dorms and participate in a series of events planned by their class officers, including alumnae parades.

  • Ella Grasso (Class of 1940) – first woman governor elected in her own right
  • Gloria Johnson-Powell (Class of 1958) – first African American woman to attain tenure at Harvard Medical School
  • Nita M. Lowey (Class of 1959) – New York congresswoman
  • Elaine Tuttle Hansen (Class of 1969) – president of Bates College
  • Wendy Wasserstein (Class of 1971) – Tony–, Obie–, and Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright

  • Nancy Gustafson (Class of 1975) – opera star
  • Priscilla Painton (Class of 1980) – senior editor, national affairs, Time magazine
