Getting a Parking Permit
Students may register their vehicles and receive a decal that permits them to park in student spaces. There are two types of permits: general and Equestrian Center. Equestrian Center permits cost less, but students holding them can only park in one lot (relatively distant from the rest of campus). Faculty and staff have their own parking spaces and separate parking permits. Students cannot park in these spaces. It is relatively easy to get a parking permit. There used to be a lottery, but expansion of peripheral lots has virtually guaranteed that every student who requests a permit will receive one. Guests may also go to the parking office to receive temporary parking permits or they may park in any faculty/staff space on weekends.
