Off-campus interviews with an Admissions Director travelling to your area or with Alumnae Admissions Representatives may also be scheduled. For more information on representatives in your area see the web site: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/near_you.shtml

Campus Tours

Mount Holyoke students lead three regularly scheduled tours a day during office hours throughout the year. No reservations are necessary. Special group tours may be scheduled.

Overnight Visits

Some days are set aside for prospective students who wish to visit campus for an overnight and spend some time with a current student. High school seniors and transfer students may visit on available nights during the fall, and admitted students and transfer students who wish to enter in the upcoming fall may visit during the spring. All visits should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Go here for more details: http://www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/overnight.shtml

Prospective Weekend

Shadow Days High school seniors get paired up with MHC students who allow themselves to be “shadowed” as they go about their daily routine. These are scheduled on three separate days every fall. www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/events/shadow/index.shtml Voices of Diversity This is an overnight program that includes activities designed to explore many aspects of pluralism. It is especially for those who are, or want to be, involved in addressing issues of race, class, and gender identity. Participants also get to take a campus tour and stay overnight in a residence hall. This event is held once every year in the fall. www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/events/spotlight/index.shtml Focus on Athletics This program, for serious scholar-athletes who want to participate in collegiate athletics, is open to prospective students by coaches’ invitation only. It is an opportunity to meet with coaches and MHC athletes, observe practices and games, visit classes, take a campus tour, and stay overnight in a residence hall. There are two of these events scheduled for the fall (and a separate Equestrian Open House on a different day). If you have not received an invitation but would like to, you are encouraged to contact the coach in the sport of your choice. www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/events/athletics/index.shtml Transfer Open House Students who are considering transferring to Mount Holyoke from another school have this opportunity to attend class, stay overnight with a current student, interview, and obtain a credit evaluation. There is also a special panel where issues specific to transfer students are discussed. This event is held in the early spring. www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/events/transfer/index.shtml “Explore” Open House High school juniors are invited to attend this half-day program that includes an information session, campus tour, and lunch with a member of the MHC community. There is also a special Q&A session for prospective transfer students on two of the dates. This event is held on approximately seven different dates in the spring. www.mtholyoke.edu/adm/events/explore/index.shtml Admitted Student Open House This overnight program is especially for those who have already been admitted to MHC. It is held on a weekend in April and includes an overnight stay, class visits, and special programming including information sessions, a dinner, and after-dinner entertainment provided by student groups. Invitations come with your admitted student packet, or, in the case of early decision admittances, at the end of March.
