Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

MVNU is a residential campus, requiring most students to live on campus and limiting their opportunities to live off campus while attending the school. However, the housing options fare well compared to other schools, which help students in accepting the housing options on campus. The freshman dorms (Galloway, Pioneer, and Oakwood) are set up in the same style, with double rooms and communal bathrooms. Redwood is the only other dorm on campus, set up suite-style and geared more for upperclassman men.

Once a student is finished with freshman year, he or she moves to an apartment set up as a townhouse with five other students. Each room on campus has the same kind of furniture. Oakwood and Pioneer don't have carpet in the bedrooms. Maplewood, Elmwood, and Cedar apartments are known for having slightly smaller living quarters and being older buildings, so they are not as well-loved as Rosewood, Spruce, Birch, or Cypress. Cypress is the farthest residential area from any academic building. These little details help students determine which residential area in which they'd like to live.
