Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The student body is notorious for its overwhelming praise for Muhlenberg. Despite whatever complaints you may hear about the housing lottery or parking, the majority of students graduates with nothing short of adoration for their 'Berg experience. The professors make classes rewarding and challenging, and the overall community is supportive; these two things together help students find their ideal home-away-from-home. There are some students who dislike the school's small size, saying that with a limited party scene, the weekends become uneventful. Others say they believe the community is warm, close-knit, and active because of the small size. Students are as dedicated to their clubs as they are to friends and schoolwork, so there is always some student-run activity on campus. If you look in the right places, there is always something to do.

The majority of the student body does love Muhlenberg, but that does not mean the school is for everyone. Muhlenberg is a small campus and is not exactly in the most metropolitan location. Just remember that an eventful world exists outside of Muhlenberg—so explore it! On the flip side, do not forget that the same professors who welcome friendly conversation also expect students to engage whole-heartedly in challenging assignments. There will not always be time to come to the beck and call of every party and distraction. Thankfully, many of the students who come to Muhlenberg expect to be challenged. So, even when you feel drowned with work, your friends and peers will be trudging along with you.

Hard to Get Into a Program That Doesn't Exist...

I'm looking to be a business major with a concentration on Entrepreneurship. Turns out Muhlenberg was the wrong place to come to for that.

Limited

Nightlife at Muhlenberg pretty much only consists of house parties and bar hopping. Since it's such a small school, it's hard to meet new people and many students find themselves doing the same things weekend after weekend. I feel as though i'm missing out on the real college experience by being here at muhlenberg sometimes.

Nice Options

Muhlenberg offers Mile houses that are pretty nice and affordable. I haven't lived in any personally yet, but i know people who have and they've liked it there. I plan to live off campus starting Junior year when it becomes available as an option.
