College Prowler Take
Most people at Muhlenberg will agree that it is an attractive campus. While there are always exceptions, the majority of students seem to be pretty concerned with how they look. Students are either just naturally good looking or take the time to make sure they look presentable before leaving the dorm. Some people have even joked that the college must only let good-looking people attend. Of course, there are those who are not as attractive as others, but your chances of finding hot people are good at the ‘Berg. Although there are more girls on campus, the ratio of girls to guys isn’t so unbalanced that it creates problems. There is a nice selection of both guys and girls on campus, and the hookup potential is about equal for both sexes. While you never know what will happen, Muhlenberg can be a good place to look for a random hookup, relationship, or even a future husband or wife. At times, it may seem like all the good ones are taken, but that can happen anywhere. You just need to look in different places. Some people complain about the student population being so small because it can seem limiting, but the small size can also be something positive. Since the school is so small and friendly, it can be easier to get to know people. It’s not like at some larger universities where you have a class with someone and start to become interested, but then you never see them again. Chances are, if you want to run into someone at the ‘Berg, you will. The size can sometimes become as issue when considering the gossip circle, however. On a small campus, it can become hard to keep your personal life private. It is no secret that random hookups occur on campus with friends or when people cut loose at parties; yet, serious relationships are also quite common. Students Speak Out

Sometimes, it seems like it’s really hard to find people to date here because the school is so small. You start to feel like you know everyone you’d want to date. That’s when you need to branch out of your own little group, and then you find out that there really are some hot and nice people that you never thought of before. |

When I first came here, I was amazed at how much better looking and well dressed the people here were than in my high school. The majority of the school dresses preppy, with a mixture of theater people and eclectic dressers. Although there are a lot of attractive people here, it can be hard to meet new faces since the school is so small. |

Social Scene
In general, Muhlenberg is a very social and friendly campus. There are obviously some people who are shy or not as outgoing as others, but most people go out of their way to act friendly. When you walk down Academic Row, most people will say hello even if they don't know you. Sure, there are some cliques on campus, but there isn't too much of a social hierarchy. Most people are pretty accepting and willing to hang out with different types of people.
Hookups or Relationships?
It seems like most relationships start out as being casual since you can just hang out in the dorms with different people. You don't usually need to make specific plans to go out on dates. Most students end up hooking up with people who live on their floor or are already in their group of friends. After relationships start, though, they seem to get serious pretty quickly, partially because the campus is so small. It's very easy to spend the majority of your time with the person you are dating, and you inevitably end up running into the person all over campus. After saying this, random hookups are possible if that's what you're looking for. Even though there are a lot of serious relationships, there are also a lot of commitment-free hookups that occur. You just have to keep in mind that Muhlenberg isn't a huge university where you can safely avoid seeing the person around campus come Monday.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
Since so much of your time is spent in the classrooms, or in the dorms, these are probably the most common places to meet a significant other. The dorms are really good for this because it's such a relaxed atmosphere. It's not like when you're in high school and you need to make plans to go over to someone's house to see them. In dorms, you just walk over to someone's room any time you want to hang out, or just to say hi. This is especially true in freshman dorms because a lot of people leave their doors open and are eager to meet new people. Joining clubs can be a good way to meet people with similar interests. You can also meet people just by hanging out in Seegers, or on the lawn, when it's nice out. If you’re looking to meet people in less of a “school” atmosphere, hit the frat or house parties on the weekends. Tired of Muhlenberg students? There are also clubs and bars nearby that a lot of college students go to at night. Remember that there are several other colleges such as Lehigh that are within a short driving distance.
Dress Code
For the most part, people tend to dress preppy here. In certain classes, there will be a few people who just roll out of bed and come to class in sweats; however, it is just as common to see a few girls in heels and guys in dress shirts. There are some eclectic dressers and some go with the skater look or something else that is a little bit more unique. These people, however, are out-numbered by those who wear the more typical attire that would probably be classified as preppy casual.
