I love my major at muskingum but some classes are only offered certain semesters so it might make you graduate late. Also being an education major it is hard to graduate in 4 years because of the liberal arts electives we have to take on top of our education classes. I also enjoy the fact that we have a child development center on campus that I already work at so I will have experience in my field. Muskingum is known for their education program and the wonderful professors I've had definitely prove why were so great.

Public Accounting – I am public accounting major and business major. My advisor for this is GREAT!!!! He is always available and he helps me with any question I may have. The workload can be heavy but thats the major its self. There arnt a lot of internships offered by the school and its a lot of hard work to get it approved once you find one.

Small Town – Muskingum is a very nice college to not be right next to everything. The problem is that we are not near anything. It takes us almost 20 minutes to get to Walmart. There are no places to do anything off of campus. The closest shopping is also twenty minutes away. The town is small and very nice and the people there are great.

The majors aren't hard to get into. All you have to do is have your advisor sign a paper that you also sign, stating your major and any minors. It can be changed at any time.

I think that the greek life on campus is lacking, but seems to be pickin gback up at least a little bit. The academic programs specific to your major are nice and the teachers want you to do well. However, the Liberal Arts part of the school is irritating. It makes you take classes that are not in your major, causing you to extend your stay in some cases. this is hard to do when the school is more expensive. We have some new facilities at our school, including the Chess Center which is a very nice little workout area and study center. Also, walter hall is a nice facility which holds music classes. Overall though, the school is pretty old. Most of the dorms are in pretty poor shape and need an update.

There is a subway and pizza places nearby. They are affordable, but the options are very limited. You get sick of them pretty quickly, but the only other option is eating food from the school which is either expensive or not so great.

they worked with students to get them as much money as possible

There is a big variety of majors and there are a lot of nice and helpful teachers. There are a lot of internships too.

We hardly ever win anything and people dont really watch them. There are a lot of sports to choose from though and the facilities are good.

There are no bars or nightclubs around. There may be a few parties on the weekends, but they are usually off campus.

Its a little hard to understand what loans are from where. I wish I just had a little bit more of an opportunity to get more financial aid, but it just doesn't seem possible.

There are several greek houses on campus. They allow those that are in greek to live there, but of course it depends on room. They are really great. Everyone is nice and both sets of students, greek or not, are socially together.

Guys & Girls:
Everyone seems to be motivated towards their goals in life. They are there for the right reasons. Yes they want to have fun with freedom of being away from family, but everyone is very nice and personable. They are much the same as anywhere else. A variety, but mostly good looking over all.

The school puts on a lot of different activities for students from Movie, dance, comedian, music, party nights. There is always something for you to do at all times of the day. There is a decently large town 15 miles away if you are into doing the bar/club scene.

Health & Safety:
The school has it's own official police force. They have the same abilities as the city police. The school is set off on a hill above the town. It sets back to itself. Very peaceful and quaint. The dorm doors are always locked so you have to bring your key with you at all times. They have safety buttons if you feel scared or need help that alerts them immediately. They parole the area continuously. It is a very safe area and crime is minute.

My school helps out each student in their interests. The school has a greek unit for my education, history and french. They have a lot of opportunities open for students and if they don't have something in particular that you may be thinking about, they will help you find it.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T22:25:19Z
They have all kinds of clubs and extra curricular items for students. They try to help students out as much as possible. They are very helpful in every way you can think. The curriculum is varied and challenges you.

Pretty average. I live on campus so I don't know much. Very small town though so I would say it is hard to come by.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T22:19:55Z
Dining halls are the same old things continuously and they get old fast. Hamburgers, fries, starch starch starch. They don't have many vegetables other than salads. They do have other shops other than the dining halls that you can eat at, but they take money or dining dollars that are limited by your meal plan.
College Sophomore 2012-12-16T22:13:34Z
Truly the school has pretty good rules and is flexible for most. The rules are made to be followed. They do have a strict rule about no downloading of dvd or pirated software. You have dorm inspections randomly to ensure that your rooms are clean and you do not have any items that are restricted.

They have as much parking as they possibly can create on campus right now, the parking is a reasonable distance away from the buildings and if you cannot find a spot in the lot there are others to choose from that aren't too bad either
Sorry, there are no reviews.
