Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Student testimonials confirm that there is something quite special about the academic experience that students encounter at Nashville State Community College. Whether the student is 15 or 50, Nashville State accommodates all who are willing and able to learn. Dual enrollment programs offered at NSCC allow high school students to earn college credits while gaining an insight into college life. College success classes are also offered to new students to provide tips, tours, and an insider's guide to being successful in academia. Despite the stigma that community colleges often carry, all professors are required to have at least a masters degree plus 18 additional hours in their respective teaching fields, and many actually have doctorates. Professors are quite knowledgeable and more than willing to help students in school and in all facets of life in general.

Such a broad age range of students at NSCC brings with it a distinct level of maturity. Students who truly want to learn will gain the most from attending this institution. There are no dorms at NSCC, nor is there any kind of party or Greek life. This college is for students who want to further their growth and development through education. At NSCC, each student is a name rather than a number. One of the most remarkable and noteworthy achievements of this college is the personal attention and relationships students can form with their professors and advisers. If students work hard and stay in contact with their advisers each semester, it is extremely hard not to succeed and prosper at this college.
