Seeing as how there are typically only 25–30 stundents in every class, the registration should be uncomplicated for most students. The key to each student getting the classes that they desire is to register early, which all students can do on the appropriate dates. Still, students who attend NSCC are more often than not considered non-traditional students. In other words, many are above the age of 20, have part-time or full-time jobs and children, as well as other responsibilities. These factors can make any registration process seem dificult and troublesome.
Early registration is key for students who want to have academic flexibility. For first-time students, this means talking with an adviser to make sure that they are taking the correct classes. For those who wait until the last day to register, the process will be a nightmare, and it is not uncommon for students to be lined up and down the hallway of the admissions or bursar's office. Nevertheless, several departments are very helpful in sometimes expanding the enrollment of a class from the maximum amount of 30 to let a few students in late.
