Student discounts are very decent at the local Green Hills Apple Store, where $100 can be discounted toward a student's laptop.
Campus Events/Traditions
  • College Transfer/Career Day: Being a community college, there are not a lot of student activities like one would find at a traditional university. However, every year the school holds College Transfer/Career Day, in which an array of local and out-of-state colleges and employers come to Nashville State to recruit students to their universities or organizations. College Transfer Day is very helpful and informative in letting students talk to alumni from many different colleges.
  • Spring Fling: Spring Fling is put on at the same time of year as College Transfer Day. It is held outside in the quad area for all students, and there is always free chili, chips and soft drinks. Pickup basketball, booths, and other activities are set up for the students.
Unique Features
Quad Monument: We have a concrete monument in the middle of our quad that looks similar to a tower with holes at the top. Students don't seem to know what it represents.
