I don't get off campus to eat very often since most of my friends lack the funds to eat off-campus. There are a number of restaurants that I could walk to from campus though. It is a good mix of chains and family owned.

Wegmans is definitely the hotspot for off-campus dining! My friends and I frequently go there for our meals when we're sick of the on-campus dining. There's so much variety and something for everyone to eat, plus you can do your grocery shopping while you're there!

None of the restaurants or food chains around the campus are associated with college student benefits. There is a wide variety from the typical fast food restaurants to the high end sit down restaurants. It is nice because there are so many options within a 15 minute driving distance, but the prices are not always student budget friendly. I usually opt for on-campus dining since it is already paid for.

In the plaza down the street there are some chain and fancier restaurant options, like Applebee's and the Cheesecake Factory. At the canal down the street there are some more ecclectic fun options, like the cute Indian place, Aladdin's/ There are some cheap places, but this is a pretty wealthy suburb so most things tend to be medium cost-expensive, but everything is tasty!

Nazareth College is in a central area in Pittsford, located in between the plaza and the village with a variety of upscale and lower-scale restaurants. Whether you're in the mood to go to a formal steakhouse like Black and Blue or grab a quick bite to eat at Chipotle there is something there for everyone. All of the restaurants (which are located in either the village or the plaza) are with in 10 minutes from campus walking distance. There are both healthy and unhealthy choices but not too many places give out student discounts, however most of the restaurants are reasonably priced for a college student. One place which everyone should try if they are in town is Hungry's particularly for the garbage plates. Even though they do not sound as appetizing, every Nazareth Student has without a doubt fell in love. Although garbage plates are delicious, everyone wants something a bit refreshing and lighter, like a meal from the authentic Greek restaurant, Olives. When you walk into the restaurant, you feel as though you are in Greece and the food definitely has you coming back for more. Even though restaurants are a great place to hangout with your friends, there is nothing like walking to the village after a long day of classes to the best ice cream and gelato shops in town. Pittsford Farms Dairy is a highly acclaimed dairy with freshly made ice cream everyday with the milk from the farm right next to it. In addition to ice cream there is coffee shop, pastry shop, and fresh dairy products sold. The gelato shop is located on the erie canal which is a great place to take a stroll while enjoying some italian gelato.
