At Nebraska Wesleyan there are a bunch of different degrees that you can do that we are known for. The sciences, the arts, and also international affairs are big degrees at Wesleyan. I like being a business major because it is a strong field at Wesleyan but none a main one where i would have to work harder. Each different area of study has their own building mainly with science having Olin and business having Smith-Curtis. Most of the international classes and history are in Old Main and each different department has endless opportunities for people to get involved and internships everywhere from our great alumni.

Freshman dorms at Nebraska Wesleyan are very small no matter where you are but Centennial has to be the worst. I live in Johnson the all girls dorms that has been recently remolded so they are nice but it is quiet without guys in our building. Pioneer and Plainsman are both coed and seem to be good places to live that have lots of fun but again they are older and smaller.

The buildings for activities are very modern and great to use when needed. I would say that the buildings on campus are not major hang out spots but they are still very useful when you actually need them. The gym is almost 20 years old but looks like it was just remolded in the last five years and is very useful with amazing equipment.

Can use bikes and rent a car on campus. Campus is small, so there is not need for transportation on campus.

I came to Wesleyan because of the size of the campus, the class sizes and that all of the professors get to know you and help you succeed.

I am a freshman. Workload is heavy. Class sizes are small and professors are excellent. They all get to know you well, to help you succeed.

You must purchase the top meal plan your freshman year. It can be difficult to eat all that food.

Freshman, sophomores and Juniors must live on campus

The computer lab is well located, it's right across from my room. I like that it has faster internet browsing and I can print my assignments. The only thing I don't like is the cold, but it gives me a chance to wear my hoodies.

I live in the suites right now and I love it. They have pods where anyone on the floor can hang out at. They also have a nice living room to watch tv downstairs along with pool tables. Everyone's pretty social.

I don't have a car. But my friends that do always struggle to find parking spots. The only times you find very good ones is on the weekend when everyone goes home or goes out.

It's a small campus in a big city. I like the familiarity that everyone has and the safety I feel. This campus is very beautiful and very lively. If there's nothing to do on campus, you just need to drive down the road to go shopping and walk around. It's really nice.

the admission's counselor wanted me to join my program and expedited my admission process. NWU accepted all most all of my previous credits

I have returned to school to attain my BSN. I have been a practicing nurse since 1979 and went back to school in 2005 for a BS in Healthcare Management but I have always wanted a BSN. So far I am enjoying the theory and science I am learning about having an advanced degree in nursing. I don't plan on attaining a higher positon where I work but I am planning to publish some of the performance improvement projects. youringwn

There is a designated lot with reserved parking, but other than that, parking is free and a car is not needed on campus. The surrounding streets are very narrow and offer limited parking.

The night life is really cool in downtown Lincoln if you are over 21. If you are under 21 there is not a lot to do in terms of down town, but there are some clubs that you are able to go to and dance. The most popular thing to do seems to be going to house parties and having a good time there when you are under 21.
College Sophomore 2013-06-27T17:40:07Z
There are a lot of restaurants that are very close to the school. As a college student you do not have very much money to eat out, but when I get the chance I take full advantage of what Lincoln has to offer. They do not have everything that one might like, but they do have a lot of food in the are that can meet the needs of a wide variety of people.

When going to Nebraska I had no idea what to expect in terms of diversity and what I was going to see at Nebraska Wesleyan. When I arrived at the school it was as if everybody is the exact same looking. There was no mean comments made or anything of that matter. It was great to see and how being nice really can have a positive effect on anyones day. We have a lot of foreign exchange students and getting to know them and where they came from was a really cool experience.
College Sophomore 2013-06-27T17:30:32Z
The town is actually quite nice. It is a little smaller than a huge town like phoenix, but big enough where you still have all the necessary stores and businesses that a big town might have. It is also right by the University of Nebraska Lincoln so it makes a small college have a big college feel. There are trails and paths to run, the weather is quite nice, and there is really nothing to complain about in the city of lincoln.

The application process for my program was extremely easy. All you have to do is grab a form that declares your major, fill it out, and bring it to your academic advisor. And they don't really give you a time limit of when you have to declare your major. They just want you to declare one before your graduation date so they can actually give you a degree...

I haven't had an internship yet, but I'm not too worried about it. Almost all of the faculty have expressed how easy it is for psych majors to get a good internship (even paid ones!) and the career and counseling center is more than happy to help us find one.
College Junior 2013-04-29T22:52:12Z
There isn't really much of a drug scene at Wesleyan. Most of the people I know on campus don't have anything to do with them. And those that do, don't just put it out there. Everyone is very quiet about activity like that.
College Junior 2013-04-29T22:47:33Z
My major is psychology, and I love it. We recently lost a few faculty members because they were pursuing careers elsewhere, but our current instructors are awesome. They really work with you to make sure you're understanding the steps you need to take to get wherever you want to go. Also, the classes are actually interesting! I'm extremely excited to take social psychology and abnormal psychology. One thing I'm not too happy about is the fact that many of the classes are work-extensive (especially the experimental psych classes).

The gym is withing walking distance from anywhere. Nice, small friendly campus. Nothing is too far away.
College Junior 2013-04-07T23:37:33Z
Parking is always easy to find, even if it's on the street.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
